SERVICE AGREEMENT

Welcome to Accu-Temp…We are a progressive company specializing in air conditioning and heating design, installation, service, duct cleaning and indoor air quality.

Accu-Temp is licensed and insured, accredited by many industry institutions, and services homes and businesses across Long Island. We use only state of the art equipment and our own team of skilled professionals who have been trained to do a variety of jobs thoroughly, safely, and expertly. Since our service department is fully stocked and equipped with all the necessary parts to fulfill your needs, this gives us the ability to provide the best 24 hour/7 day week affordable service around.

SERVICES AND ITEMS NOT COVERED: 

This agreement does not cover losses, damages due to external causes not limited to unauthorized service rendered by other than Accu-Temp, power loss/interruption, water damage, foliage, acts of God, or any other situation out of Accu-Temps control. Sealed system parts (compressor, evaporator, condenser, piping), beyond the original manufacturer’s warranty; electric heaters, logic boards, circuit boards, shafts, bearings, variable speed motors, air cleaning devises, condensation pumps, blower wheels, booster fans, Geothermal Systems, dehumidifiers, humidifiers/dehumidifiers change over valves, zone valves, TXV valves, damper motors, Inducer Assembly and controllers, Freon (beyond the agreement allotted amount of 5lbs R-410A or 2lbs R22 per year), heat exchangers, metal cabinets, burners, internal heaters, economizers, digital thermostats, batteries, wiring, duct work, rewiring due to shortages or sabotage by others, pre-existing conditions, burglar alarms, panels, inadequate service, underground wiring, circuit breakers, service required as a result of the customers’ failure to: replace fuse, reset circuit breaker, set thermostat properly, replace thermostat batteries, set emergency switches, check and replace filters, clogged filters, time and material for repairing Freon leaks, labor for duct work and vent pipe, electrical or plumbing work, balancing beyond the units original guarantee, or any work required because of negligence or misuse of equipment. This agreement does not include, and shall not be responsible for; insulation and duct work, electrical service beyond the subject equipment or control wiring or for any failure of, or inadequate power, corrosion, contamination, or leakage from condenser, evaporator coil, or refrigeration lines or for any recording or portable instrument gages or thermostats, hardware, cabinets, water leakage from condensate drip pans or lines or from humidifier, fuel burner or other heating equipment and controls unless specifically provided for in this agreement is not covered. Air duct, dryer vent, heating and cooling cleaning of any kind is not included. Homeowners must keep equipment accessible and free from any obstructions that deter proper servicing of equipment. Area around equipment including crawl space must be dry, attic units must have adequate flooring to service unit, and no exceptions will be made. All shrubs, plants, or obstruction of any kind must not be in or around condensing unit within a distance of 3ft minimum. Compressor replacement minimum charge $500 (subject to change). Refrigerant leak test $250 (subject to change).

Before You Call; please read below. It may prevent a service call or help us diagnose your problem quicker.

AIR CONDITIONER-NO COOLING: 
  • Check the settings on your thermostat. Make sure the temperature control selector is set below the current room temperature, and the system switch is on the COOL or AUTO position. The fan switch should be set to ON for continuous airflow or AUTO if you want the blower to operate only while the air conditioner is operating.
  • If the airflow out of your registers seems low, check the air filter. A very dirty air filter can block air flow.
  • Try to get the air conditioner to turn on by lowering the thermostat to its lowest temperature setting.
  • Make sure all registers are open and not obstructed.
  • Check the power disconnect switch by each unit (outdoor & indoor).
  • Check the fuse/breaker at the electrical panel for both the indoor and outdoor unit.
  • If system continues not working properly, shut down and contact ACCU-TEMP Heating & Cooling.
GAS FURNACE- NO HEAT:
  • Check the settings on your thermostat. Make sure the temperature control selector is set above the current room temperature, and the system switch is on the HEAT or AUTO position. The fan switch should be set to ON for continuous airflow or AUTO if you want the blower to operate only while the furnace is operating.
  • If the airflow out of your registers seems low, check the air filter. A very dirty air filter can block air flow.
  • Try to get the furnace to turn on by raising the thermostat to its highest temperature setting.
  • Make sure all registers are open and not obstructed.
  • Check the power disconnect switch by the furnace.
  • Check the fuse/breaker at the electrical panel for the furnace.
  • Check to make sure the gas control valve to the furnace is open.
  • Check the pilot light. (Electronic ignitions will not have a pilot light)
  • If system continues not working properly, shut down and contact ACCU-TEMP Heating & Cooling.
WATER HEATER- (IF APPLICABLE) :
  • Make sure it is set to normal position.
  • Unplug and plug back in. (If Applicable)
  • Check pilot light, re- light if not lit.
  • Check settings.
  • If system continues not working properly, shut down and contact ACCU-TEMP Heating & Cooling.
